| 532 | 864 | August 30, 2026 | Pause | Scheduled for 9/4/2026 Rescheduled for 9/6/2026 9/6/2026 Oil change/filter replaced, air filter replaced, greased front end, new TPMS right front and left rear, reprogrammed sensors to truck. Top left taillight bulb replaced. Replaced under hood fuse #33, 10A for backup lights, still no lights in reverse, only perimeter lighting. Had active codes for parking assist, U0073 & U0121, and B3883-01 & B3883-04. Unhooked underbed connector for license plate and parking aid wiring, B3883-01 & B3883-04 remained active, other codes cleared. Believe there's a pinched/broken/melted wire in the main loom from front of truck, MPH 9/9/2026 - Looked up codes on search engine, found TSB related to headlight faults. TSB directed me to disconnect the snow plow light harness and rescan for DTC's. Two DTC's related to headlights cleared after disconnecting snow plow light harness. License lamp faults were still active, and license plate lamps still inoperable, meaning that root cause of license lamps is from DTC B3883-01. Reinstalled snowplow light harness, headlights still functional. Started performing wiring tests at bumper wiring harness. Found that one license lamp was not getting ground on the TRUCK SIDE of harness, so I modified the BUMPER SIDE of the harness so that both license lamps shared the same ground wire. Issue persisted. Further testing found that the license lamp ground wire would become energized to 11.1 VDC when the ignition key is in the ON position. THIS IS THE ROOT CAUSE. DTC B3883-04 is triggered by the BCM when it detects 'short to battery positive' on license lamp ground circuit. Vehicle had to be reassembled so that it could be sent to the body shop - unable to complete diagnosis and repair at this time. MAK | Rear driver blinker out again, TPMS sensors aren’t working, reverse lights in and out. |
